I am leaning towards the 2017 MBP 13" due to the portability and having newer hardware. The laptop only struggles when opening larger Excel files. The new MacBook Pros have a ton of advantages over the older options, but when it came to buying a replacement machine for myself, I found myself returning to 2015 rather than picking up Apples.
